Reviving the blog to make it active with new posts.
Lets drown in the magic of music again.
Vasundhara Okhde
Indian music has a rich historical heritage. The origins of Indian classical music can be found from the oldest of scriptures, part of the Hindu tradition, the Vedas.
At Gharana, my vision is to nurture and propagate the priceless heritage of Indian classical music through imparting the complex techniques of art forms through long years of close involvement between a teacher and a student, while yet allowing it to naturally unfold in it's full creative splendour.
I hold a BA (Eco) degree and a diploma in Classical Music from Mumbai University. I have learnt under Late Pt. Nivruttibua Sarnaik of Jaipur Gharana. Have also taken preliminary lessons in Kathak and Sitar. And now working as a music & dance teacher in a convent school for the past 18 years.
This blog will speak about my daily journey through life, as I explore one of my greatest passions, music, and hence explore myself in a myriad moods and raagas and seasons and colours.
